The rains in Dubai

So we have had some serious rain in Dubai for the last week. (remeber this is the desert) I know back in Canada it is still snowing daily and that no one has any sympathy for a bit of rain and to tell the truth I am not looking for any. I love the rain, it has been cool and it has really washed a lot of the dirt and sand that sticks to everything away, so for that I am happy. One of the great things rain in the desert does it bring grass and flowers to the baron landscape, it is a really nice thing to see. But, the reason I feel it is nessary to talk about the week of rain we have had is this....People in this country loose their minds with any weather that is not hot and dry. The people whom have not ventured to other climates then warm,hot and rediculous freak out if there is water on the ground or the hiway. There are two types of drivers; one that drives so fast and expect everyone to get out of the way because of the price of their car and the other, that goes so slow and turns on the hazards if it is drizzling on the roads...it is quite humours really.
